Governor calls for investigation into what Trump knew about lethality of virus
ALBANY — In a wide-ranging Thursday press conference, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo discussed the state’s plans to prepare for an eventual COVID-19 vaccine, called for Congressional investigations into Trump administration’s COVID-19 response, and continued his pitch to the federal government for relief funding to states hit hard by the pandemic.
“Unfortunately, we can no longer trust the federal government,” one of Cuomo’s Powerpoint slides read during his presentation. He pointed to a poll that found a majority of Americans would not take a COVID-19 vaccine introduced ahead of the November election.
